The Arts & Entertainment District has recently seen a renaissance of creative energy with the advent of Miami’s premier performance space (The Adrienne Arscht Center), and the opening of hip restaurants and speakeasy-inspired bars. There’s no doubt that its location just minutes from all of Miami’s hottest neighborhoods (including Wynwood, Design District, Downtown, and South Beach) make the Arts & Entertainment District Miami’s next big discovery. Still being defined by the burgeoning creative scene, the Arts & Entertainment District is poised for exceptional growth in the coming years.

As Miami’s new cultural center, the Arts & Entertainment District is bordered to the north by 19th Street, to the south by 10th Street, to the east by Biscayne Boulevard and to the west by NW 2nd Avenue. The Arts & Entertainment District finds itself at perhaps the most convenient location in all of Miami—just minutes to downtown (its immediate south), Wynwood (its immediate north), and South Beach (to the east) and at the heart of the cultural renaissance currently transforming Miami.

ABOUT JASON SAUER ARTIST

Jason Sauer

“I use regenerative and destructive forces to create my sculptures and paintings.”

Jason Sauer is an artist who lives and works in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A classically trained painter holding a BFA and an MFA, Jason has created everything from large outdoor murals to small Flemish-inspired impressionistic paintings. Born into a family of demolition derby participants, Jason uses the distinctly-American pastime as a high-art form. By reclaiming discarded automobiles and transforming them into abstract sculptures, he enables each piece to simultaneously evoke excitement and a sense of the terror of the collision.

In addition to car metal, Jason works with locally sourced objects and uses his art to create a dialogue within his community. His lauded compositions redefine the power of rebirth while challenging viewers’ sense of and longing for home. Having been featured in many publications and the recipient of many awards, Jason currently owns the Most Wanted Fine Art Gallery which has been annually recognized as the “Best Art Gallery” by City Paper readers since 2013.
